Ki Massage & Fitness

is dedicated to assisting our clients in achieving an healthy and balanced lifestyle. This is accomplished by working the body through massage and fitness in order to bring peace of mind. At Ki Massage and Fitness, we use a combination of Shiatsu and Kiatsu massage techniques combined with western techniques applied in the structure of a sports massage. The five applications of sports massage are event, maintenance, recovery, remedial and rehabilitation.

EVENT MASSAGE
can be broken down into the pre-event, inter-event and post event massages. The pre-event massage prepares the person physically and mentally with an upbeat tempo to the compression, percussion, stretching, jostling, and kneading techniques. Also direct pressure and friction techniques are used on areas of high stress. This massage is usually fifteen to twenty minutes long.

MAINTENANCE MASSAGE
session lasts for sixty to ninety minutes long and includes special attention to the muscles associated with the fitness activity of the recipient All of the standard Western Massage techniques are used in this massage along with the shiatsu and kiatsu techniques on problem areas. This massage's foundation is in the recovery massage along with remedial massage techniques for problematic conditions.

RECOVERY MASSAGE
is the application of massage techniques to improve circulation, promote muscular relaxation and enhance flexibility All of the standard Western Massage techniques are used in this massage along with the shiatsu and kiatsu techniques on problem areas. This type of massage is for recovery from the strenuous exertion during exercise and is an important part of general relaxation for people with an active lifestyle. A Recovery Massage last for sixty to ninety minutes.

REMEDIAL and REHABILITATION MASSAGE
use the Shiatsu and Kiatsu techniques as the main focus to assist with the healing of injuries;for example, sprains and strains. These massages can last from fifteen minutes to ninety minutes usually focused on the problem areas.
